Sony promotes God of War with slaughter of a goat

I've come to realize recently why God of War 2 has surely got to be a horrid trash heap. The Daily Mail reports that the game's promotion features naked girls, bacchanalia, and a goat slaughtered in a pool of blood.

I could probably excuse the naked girls, but given what kind of a violent game this is, I guess that's why I won't; violence and sex just don't mix the way this game does it. But the goat sacrifice and bacchanalia (getting drunk) here, that's certainly going overboard, and we could sure do without it. Just don't count on PETA to say even a word of protest.

Update: now, Sony is apologizing for their approach to advertising this game.
