Formerly Comics and Globe Watch before becoming two different blogs, those being The Four Color Media Monitor and Tel-Chai Nation, this blog now serves the purpose of posting about computer game news and various other games old and new. Puzzle games are the ones I enjoy the most, and with any luck, maybe I'll update on board games like Monopoly too!

It's Burger Time and Super Burger Time!

This post has been updated with some extra goodies.

A charming game from 1982, the object is to have a chef named Peter Pepper run around trying to complete a couple hamburgers while a bunch of nutty living foods like hot dogs and omlette eggs try to thwart him. You can try to lure some of the funny foods across parts that have almost been knocked down and then send them down along with them, and you can even try to shake pepper at them to stun them momentarily. Very clever.

There was supposed to have been a sequel planned called "Pizza Time", but instead they made Peter Pepper's Ice Cream Factory, which can be seen here:

So here, you've got good ol' Peter running around in his factory for making ice cream cones trying to complete an even more complicated puzzle while dodging more funny foods in the process.

Then there's the third game, made eight years later, that features more fun action, though with different weapons and more enemies trying to sabotage your work as you go along. Unlike the first game, where the use of pepper shakers was according to a numbered limit, here, it's time-based and can be refilled in certain areas after awhile. It's a wonderful game that we really ought to see more of these days. Click here for an extra recording that shows a little more gameplay.
